DescriptionAppliqué/Embroidered/Story/Art quilt. Nine story panels, three across width, three down length of quilt. Each story panel depicts an aspect of voodoo beliefs, portrayed in embroidered narrative and appliqued icons. Brightly colored prints, embroidery thread, felt, solid color fabrics used. Approximately 4” wide black sashing between all panels. 4” wide borders with blanket stitch appliqued animals in bright prints. Red corner blocks. Straight line quilting in white thread. Some outline quilting around figures and border animals. Pieced back of light blue cotton, folded over to form wide binding. Medium loft batting, 5” wide hanging sleeve at top back.Status
