DescriptionPatchwork quilt. Necktie in a Circle pattern. 42 “Necktie” blocks, six across width, 7 down length of quilt. Probably mostly cotton. Hand pieced. Each 11” diameter circle is comprised of twenty small “necktie” pieces in multiple colors, prints, solids, patterns, surrounding a small center 3” diameter green circle, and with red side triangles, to finish circle shape. Circles are joined together with a gold color cotton square with concave sides. Hand quilted with white thread in straight and curved patterns. Back is folded over front to form binding, and machine stitched. Pieced back of coarsely woven white cotton. Vintage cotton batting. 5 1/2” wide white cotton hanging sleeve at top back.Status
